About the Journal
RISS. Journal for Psychoananlysis––a name that was, during certain periods, supplemented by "(Freud – Lacan),"––was founded by Peter Widmer and others in 1986 in Switzerland as international journal of the German-speaking reception of Lacan, published, among others, by the publishers Turia + Kant (1998–2013) and, until recently, Textem (2018–2023). (For back orders of the thematic issues #87–99, published over the course of the last years, but also of additional volumes: Textem.)
Since 2024, RISS is an OpenAccess journal, aided by Frankfurt's University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg and the information service AVLdigital. The journal, however, can still be bought in print, to be ordered in bookstores or directly from the editors. Information about subscriptions of the print version of RISS and other possibilities to support and participate in activities of RISS, which no longer understands itself exclusively as editors of a journal, can be found at the website www.riss-psychoanalyse.de.
