Dream Residue and Strangely Colored Daytime Experience

Abstract

Day residues have been the subject of intensive psychoanalytical research, but their structural opposite has not been studied at all. Dream residues, which can remain from sleep and shape the tone and perception of entire days, have so far been virtually unexplored. They are an unconscious phenomenon, but one that reaches far into the rational experience of the day and colors, sabotages and questions it. Here we attempt an initial sketch of an exploration of dream residues.
