Abstract

The possibility of guarantee / Gewähr is explored. Psychoanalytic practice as a cure and in its organisation also touches on ontology. Gewähr has a process dynamic that reflects the relationship between individuals, between psyche and body, and between theory and practice in psychoanalysis. Gewähr emerges as collective interaction and reflection in transference and changes the collective. By looking at Gewähr as an active process of give and take, questions of power, ethics and cognition are raised.
