Better with Riss Than Not at All

Abstract

The paper considers the thesis of the post-Oedipal society and argues for its contemporary diagnostic validity, but also argues, still with Lacan, that a deconstruction of the Oedipus complex might be more useful in criticizing the model of people who support neoliberal models of therapy.
