Abstract

The article revolves around the figure of the "Gewährsmann" or "Gewehrperson", which also appears in the exposé of RISS 100 and in Freud's text. Guarantors are psychoanalysts who allow analysis to take place and analysands who allow analysis to continue. The exchange between colleagues and transmission are indispensable elements of being able to analyze, and thus also guarantors. If psychoanalysis has to be reinvented again and again, it is the cultural work that makes it possible and does not guarantee a "completed" training.
